paris cian (1996) is an interdisciplinary artist and curator native to and living in New Orleans, LA. Working across installation, public art, painting, sculpture, and performance art, her practice mobilizes embodied memory, sustainability, and devotion. Through processes of the poetic, she composes with impermanence, the weather, and Black memory.

Informed by Black girlhood and spatiality, cian’s practice lives within the choreography of worldmaking, repetition, and the non-linear. Her obsessions offer inquiry to transformation and questions of urgency.
